Amend Senate Bill 178 on page 1, by 3 replacing lines 29 through 31 with the following: 4 "(b) When an undue hardship caused by a family situation 5 is due to the prospective juror being the primary care giver 6 of a person with a mental or physical disability, a person 7 with a medically diagnosed behavior problem, or a child under 8 age 12, then the county board, jury commissioners or jury 9 administrator shall excuse such a prospective juror, if it 10 finds that no reasonable alternative care is feasible which 11 would not impose an undue hardship on the prospective juror 12 or the person for whom the prospective juror is providing 13 care, or both."; and 14 by deleting all of page 2; and 15 on page 3, by deleting lines 1 through 6.
