1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of the members of
3 the Illinois House of Representatives that Adam Rubenstein
4 and Mack Reynolds recently won the tennis doubles State
5 championship; and
6 WHEREAS, Adam and Mack are sophomores at New Trier High
7 School; Adam became the seventh player in Illinois State High
8 School Association history to win a State crown with more
9 than one partner; and
10 WHEREAS, New Trier Coach Tim Kajifez and his team also
11 had a fourth place finish in singles by Paul Rose, five
12 victories for the doubles team of Yusuke Amamoto and Brett
13 Karzen, and four wins in singles for Joe Smeeton; and
14 WHEREAS, The win marked New Trier's fourth State title in
15 five years and the seventeenth in the school's history; and
16 WHEREAS, The tennis players of New Trier High School are
17 to be commended for their hard work and their determination
18 to win; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate Adam Rubenstein, Mack Reynolds, Paul Rose,
22 Yusuke Amamoto, Brett Karzen, Joe Smeeton, and Coach Tim
23 Kajifez on their winning season; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the New Trier Tennis team and Coach Tim Kajifez.
