91_HR0846 LRB9106670CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn 3 of the recent death of Ruth Millison of Chicago; and 4 WHEREAS, She was born in Sparta, Georgia, on November 30, 5 1919, the daughter of Madie Flournoy Shivers and Clarence 6 Shivers; she attended Mosely Grammar Public School and 7 Englewood High School; and 8 WHEREAS, After graduation, she married Lewis Millison and 9 to this union were born six children; she held a number of 10 administrative and food service positions, becoming a 11 certified nutritionist prior to her retirement; and 12 WHEREAS, After the birth of her first grandchild, she 13 became known to family, friends, and neighbors as "Granny"; 14 and 15 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, 16 and a son, Illinois State Trooper Anthony Millison; and 17 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 18 and friends, especially her sons, Robert and Gregory; her 19 daughters, Carole Ann, Brenda, and June; her stepson, Edward; 20 her daughters-in-law, Beverly and Shirle; her sons-in-law, 21 Larnell and John; her sister-in-law, Mary Lewis; 17 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 23 great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 25 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 26 we note with sorrow and regret the death of Mrs. Ruth 27 Millison and extend our sincere condolences to her family and 28 friends; and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of Mrs. Ruth Millison.
