1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Sister Rosemary Hollerich O.P., a Sinsinawa
6 Dominican for 51 years, is retiring from her teaching career;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, She has served as a teacher, a librarian, and a
9 principal; she has been a leader of the Sinsinawan community
10 at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Hyde Park; Sister
11 Rosemary Hollerich has served many schools in Illinois, as
12 well as in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming; and
13 WHEREAS, Sister Rosemary has spent the last several years
14 at St. Thomas the Apostle School, teaching the young children
15 of Chicago's Southside; she has instilled in her young pupils
16 a love and respect for books, and all that books can teach
17 young readers; and
18 WHEREAS, Sister Rosemary Hollerich is to be commended for
19 her dedication to her faith, her respect for education and
20 the craft of teaching, and her love of children; therefore,
21 be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we commend Sister Rosemary Hollerich on her hard work,
25 dedication, and devotion; and we wish her an enjoyable and
26 blessed retirement; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Sister Rosemary Hollerich O.P., along with our
29 sincere regards and best wishes.
