1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who have made outstanding contributions to the
5 education of the youth of this State; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Dr. Jerry L.
7 Wiseman has announced his retirement from Lake Park High
8 School District 108 after thirty-four years of service; and
9 WHEREAS, Jerry Wiseman received his Master's Degree from
10 Indiana University in 1966 and his Doctorate in Education
11 from Nova University in 1984; and
12 WHEREAS, Dr. Wiseman taught business education at both
13 East and West Campuses and was department chairperson; he
14 taught Drivers Education Behind-the-Wheel; and
15 WHEREAS, In 1977, he became Principal at West Campus, and
16 in 1986, he became Assistant Superintendent for Business and
17 Finance; in 1989, they renamed his title to Deputy
18 Superintendent for Business Services; and
19 WHEREAS, Dr. Wiseman was head golf coach for ten years;
20 he served on various committees, including the Climate
21 Committee, the Classified Staff Inservice Committee, the
22 Committee on Excellence, the Ad Hoc Planning Committee, the
23 Staff Development Planning Committee, and the North Central
24 Association Student Activities Committee; and
25 WHEREAS, He was on the District Curriculum Council, the
26 Superintendent's Advisory Council, and was Chairperson for
27 the Principals Advisory Council for West Campus; and
28 WHEREAS, Dr. Wiseman worked at the DuPage Job Fair in
29 February of 2000 and has belonged to the Schaumburg Rotary
30 Club since 1985; and

1 WHEREAS, Dr. Jerry L. Wiseman has contributed in many
2 ways to the Lake Park High School District 198 and its
3 students; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6 we congratulate Dr. Jerry L. Wiseman for thirty-four years of
7 service to Lake Park High School District 108, that we
8 commend him for dedication to his profession and his
9 students, and that we extend to him our sincere best wishes
10 for the future; and be it further
11 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to Dr. Jerry L. Wiseman.
