1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Al
4 Tisdahl of Evanston, Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Al Tisdahl was raised on Chicago's Northside; he
6 worked his way through the University of Chicago, first as a
7 Chicago Park District lifeguard, then as a Chicago Transit
8 Authority bus driver; one of his passengers was his future
9 wife, Elizabeth Beidler; and
10 WHEREAS, Al Tisdahl graduated from the University of
11 Illinois law school and then served in the United States Navy
12 during the Vietnam war; he was a deep sea diver and submarine
13 rescue team member; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Tisdahl, a prominent and well respected
15 attorney, was the head of the medical malpractice law firm of
16 French, Kezelis & Kominiarek; he was active in the Democratic
17 Party; he will be remembered for his love of children,
18 especially the Evanston Youth Hockey Association, where he
19 served as president of the board; and
20 WHEREAS, Mr. Tisdahl, despite a very busy professional
21 life, was a devoted husband and father; he always had time
22 for his children and their friends; and
23 WHEREAS, His passing will be felt by all that knew him,
24 especially his loving wife, Elizabeth; his children, Kathy
25 Hughes (Patrick Jr.), Douglas, and Mark; his granddaugther;
26 his brother, Robert, and his many nieces and nephews;
27 therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30 we mourn, along with all that knew him, the death of Al
31 Tisdahl of Evanston, Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Mrs. Elizabeth Tisdahl.
