91_HR0691 LRB9113583CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives 4 of Illinois citizens; and 5 WHEREAS, The Reverend Kenneth Earl Davis is the pastor 6 and founder of Faith Deliverance Church; the church is a 7 strong foundation of the community and rooted in Christian 8 beliefs; the church provides service to the people of the 9 community; and 10 WHEREAS, Reverend Davis will be consecrated and installed 11 as Bishop of the New Joy Fellowship on Saturday, April 8, 12 2000; and 13 WHEREAS, Reverend Davis has proven himself hospitable, a 14 lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, 15 self-controlled, and holding fast the faithful word as he has 16 been taught; and 17 WHEREAS, Kenneth Davis is appointed and has served 18 faithfully as First Administrator to Apostle Aaron Holmes of 19 the New Joy Fellowship of churches; and 20 WHEREAS, Kenneth Davis has given himself totally to the 21 service of God and the Church; he has served on the Board of 22 Directors of C-TEC (Christian Teen Empowerment Consortium), 23 he is a former board member of the West Aurora School 24 District 129, and is currently a board member of the Aurora 25 PADS for the homeless; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 27 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 28 we congratulate Reverend Kenneth Earl Davis on his 29 consecration and installation as Bishop of the New Joy 30 Fellowship; we declare April 2000 as Bishop Kenneth Earl 31 Davis month in the State of Illinois, and April 8, 2000 as -2- LRB9113583CBcb 1 Bishop Kenneth Earl Davis day in the State of Illinois, in 2 honor of his pursuit of a better life for all people for all 3 time; and be it further 4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 5 presented to Bishop Kenneth Earl Davis.
