1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize people of the State
4 of Illinois who make this State a great place to live; and
5 WHEREAS, Ann Bailey Prichard was born on August 28, 1900,
6 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois; and
7 WHEREAS, Ann Prichard graduated from Glenbard High School
8 in 1918; her great-granddaughter is a freshman at Glenbard
9 West this year, making her the fourth generation of the
10 family to attend the high school; and
11 WHEREAS, In 1941 Mrs. Prichard's husband passed away,
12 leaving her to raise five children by herself; for 43 years
13 she worked for the Milton Township Assessor in DuPage County,
14 retiring when she was 85 years old; and
15 WHEREAS, Mrs. Prichard now is the proud grandmother of 14
16 and the proud great-grandmother of 25; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Ann Prichard on her long and wonderful life;
20 may she continue to be an inspiration to those around her;
21 and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Mrs. Ann Bailey Prichard.
