1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 the excellence of young athletes and wish to congratulate the
4 Brookfield Junior Girls Fast Pitch Softball Team on a very
5 successful season in 1999; and
6 WHEREAS, Led by Coach Dan Hull, the team won the District
7 Championship and the Illinois State Championship; it
8 continued on to represent Illinois in the Midwest Regional,
9 playing against other teams from the Midwestern states; they
10 won the Midwestern Regional Championship, defeating Michigan
11 in an extra inning game which advanced them to the World
12 Series in Seattle, Washington; and
13 WHEREAS, They placed Fourth in the World out of seven
14 teams; and
15 WHEREAS, The majority of this team also went to the World
16 Series in 1997; and
17 WHEREAS, This group of girls has kept the winning
18 tradition going; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate the Brookfield Junior Girls Fast Pitch
22 Softball Team on a tremendous season and extend our best
23 wishes to them for continued success in the future; and be it
24 further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to Coach Dan Hull.
