1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Carlos D. Hevia will be retiring from a lifetime
6 of police work, having served over thirty years, receiving
7 more than twenty awards and letters of commendation; and
8 WHEREAS, Carlos D. Hevia served two years in the United
9 States Army Military Police Corps and over twenty-five years
10 in the Illinois State Police; and
11 WHEREAS, Carlos D. Hevia continued his education and
12 training throughout his career in order to improve his
13 service to society; he has served as an instructor for police
14 training over the last twenty years; and
15 WHEREAS, Carlos D. Hevia helped develop new drug fighting
16 operations, worked on international child abduction cases,
17 helped establish the Illinois State Police Command School,
18 and supervised the first "wire room" on the first wiretap in
19 the State of Illinois under the current statute; therefore,
20 be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate and thank Carlos D. Hevia for a lifetime of
24 service to the people of Illinois and we thank him for his
25 role in developing new programs and standards for the
26 continued safety of the residents of Illinois; and be it
27 further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to Carlos D. Hevia.
