1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of this Body that
3 East Alton - Wood River Community High School is celebrating
4 eighty years of service to the community; and
5 WHEREAS, The school recognizes the importance of
6 continually striving toward the goal of constructive
7 progress; and
8 WHEREAS, In the past eighty years, the East Alton - Wood
9 River Community High School has faced challenges and has
10 experienced much growth, expansion, and modernization; and
11 WHEREAS, Through it all East Alton - Wood River Community
12 High School has continued to provide the citizens with the
13 educational services essential to the students of the
14 community; and
15 WHEREAS, East Alton - Wood River Community High School
16 has an eighty year history of commitment to excellence in
17 education; and
18 WHEREAS, The school has brought the community together in
19 a spirit of generosity, harmony, and volunteerism and has
20 become the center of the community spirit; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate East Alton - Wood River Community High School
24 on its eightieth anniversary and we applaud the efforts of
25 the faculty and staff and recognize their outstanding civic
26 service and pride; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to East Alton - Wood River Community High School.
