1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mr. John Thomas (JT) Weeker of Wheaton on
4 January 6, 2000; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Weeker graduated from Cornell University and
6 completed Harvard University's Advanced Management Program in
7 May, 1994; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Weeker was Area Vice-President for the Great
9 Lakes Area of the United States Postal Service, which
10 included all postal operations for an area that encompasses
11 Indiana, Michigan, and the northern half of Illinois; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Weeker began his postal career in 1972 as
13 district director, employee, and labor relations for the
14 Akron District; he was the senior operational manager in the
15 Albany, New York, District and Division; and
16 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
17 and friends, especially his wife, Julia; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we note with sorrow and regret the death of JT Weeker and
21 extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and
22 be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to his widow, Julia Weeker.
