1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Governor has requested a report from the
3 Illinois State Toll Highway Authority dealing with structural
4 and financial issues; and
5 WHEREAS, Implementation of the report may require
6 legislative action; and
7 WHEREAS, The General Assembly is interested in the
8 substance of the report; and
9 WHEREAS, This report is to be presented to the Governor;
10 therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 the House shall create a Committee to review the Toll
14 Authority's report; and be it further
15 RESOLVED, That this Committee shall be composed of 7
16 members, 4 appointed by the Speaker and 3 by the Minority
17 Leader; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That this Committee shall have the same powers
19 as a regular House committee; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority
21 is directed to cooperate with the Committee; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That this Committee shall be directed to report
24 to the General Assembly no later than April 4, 2000 regarding
25 its findings and conclusions on implementing or modifying the
26 Toll Authority's recommendations to the Governor.
