1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the members of
3 this Body welcome the opportunity to recognize citizens of
4 this State who make outstanding contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that John Albin of
6 Newman has announced his retirement from the Parkland
7 Community College Board in Champaign, after thirty-one years
8 of service; he served the entire decade of the nineties as
9 Chairman; and
10 WHEREAS, Having earned a bachelor's degree from the
11 University of Illinois, he values education; he is a banker
12 and a farmer; and
13 WHEREAS, His strong support of the faculty and staff have
14 made him a respected community leader; he has allowed faculty
15 to teach and serve the students rather than getting
16 sidetracked by other issues; and
17 WHEREAS, He has always been a good team player and made
18 the team approach work well; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate John Albin as he retires as Chairman of the
22 Parkland College Board and wish him the best of luck in his
23 future as a student at Parkland College in his computer
24 class; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to him as an expression of our admiration and
27 respect.
