91_HR0469 LRB9109409KBkb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Allie 4 Mae Flowers McDonald, who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, Allie Mae Flowers McDonald was born in Carthage, 6 Mississippi, on January 8, 1924; her parents were Cal and 7 Alberta Flowers; and 8 WHEREAS, Allie Mae Flowers McDonald confessed faith in 9 Jesus Christ at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church in 10 Carthage, Mississippi; she was married to Quincy McDonald, 11 Sr., for 47 years and together they had 11 children; and 12 WHEREAS, Allie Mae Flowers McDonald will be remembered 13 for being a good mother, a good listener, and an excellent 14 cook; she loved to play cards, spend time with her family and 15 friends, and was known to the children in her neighborhood as 16 "Ms. Mac"; and 17 WHEREAS, Allie Mae Flowers McDonald is survived by her 18 husband, Quincy McDonald, Sr.; her children, Lula, Frankie 19 (Joe), Deloris (Lawrence), Odis (Karen), Florence (William), 20 Janice (Norman), Quincy, Jr. (Joyce), Chinese (Keith), and 21 Carmel; her sisters, Birdie McDonald, Willie Mae Whittington, 22 Vera Edwards, and Mildred Flowers; her brothers, Johnnie 23 Flowers and Kermit Flowers; her 17 grandchildren; her 8 24 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, relatives, 25 and friends; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 27 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 28 we mourn, along with all that knew and loved her, the death 29 of Allie Mae Flowers McDonald; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Allie Mae Flowers McDonald, along -2- LRB9109409KBkb 1 with our sincere regards.
