1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Infant Jesus of Prague School has been
3 selected as a 1998-99 Blue Ribbon School by the United States
4 Department of Education; and
5 WHEREAS, The Blue Ribbon, the most prestigious education
6 award in the country, distinguishes Infant Jesus of Prague
7 School for its excellence in leadership, teaching,
8 curriculum, student achievement, parental involvement, and
9 community support; and
10 WHEREAS, The Department of Education cited Infant Jesus
11 of Prague School for its commitment to provide a Christian
12 atmosphere in which growth and learning can take place; and
13 WHEREAS, Infant Jesus of Prague School is committed to
14 educating the whole person, acknowledging the moral,
15 physical, intellectual, emotional, and social dimensions of
16 learning; and
17 WHEREAS, Infant Jesus of Prague School is indeed worthy
18 of our highest praise; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate the Infant Jesus of Prague School for being
22 selected as a 1998-99 Blue Ribbon School by the United States
23 Department of Education; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Principal Thomas Sedor.
