1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Dale Risinger is retiring after over 35 years of
3 commendable service with the Illinois Department of
4 Transportation; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Risinger began his career in 1962 as a
6 technician in the Effingham District and became Resident
7 Engineer for that district after receiving his degree in
8 Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1968;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, In 1988 Dale Risinger was named District 4
11 Engineer, responsible for operations and maintenance of all
12 State highways in a nine-county area, which includes 1,412
13 miles of highways, 579 bridges, and supports 8 million
14 vehicle miles of daily travel; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Risinger holds an Illinois Professional
16 Engineer license, is a member of the Illinois Association of
17 Highway Engineers, the American Public Works Association, the
18 National Society of Professional Engineers, the Illinois
19 Society of Professional Engineers, the Executive Advisory
20 Council of Bradley University's College of Engineering and
21 Technology, and the University of Illinois' Alumni
22 Association, and is the President of the Bradley University
23 Civil Engineering and Construction Advisory Board; and
24 WHEREAS, Mr. Risinger has distinguished himself by
25 working with citizens, community leaders, and the Illinois
26 Department of Transportation to bring the best possible
27 highways to Central Illinois; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30 we congratulate Mr. Dale Risinger on his retirement and wish
31 him every success in the future; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Mr. Dale Risinger.
