1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Doug Aurand was first elected Winnebago County
3 Treasurer in 1970; and
4 WHEREAS, Doug Aurand has served with distinction in that
5 position for 28 years; and
6 WHEREAS, During his tenure as Treasurer, the Winnebago
7 County Treasurer's Office has a tremendous record of
8 investment return and public service; and
9 WHEREAS, Doug Aurand has also served the Illinois County
10 Treasurer's Association with distinction, and was elected
11 President of the Association in 1992-1993; and
12 WHEREAS, Doug Aurand has also served many civic and
13 charitable causes, including the Boy Scouts; and
14 WHEREAS, He is retiring June 10, 1999, to spend more time
15 with his wife, Julie, and their children and grandchildren;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Doug Aurand for his years of exemplary public
20 service, and wish him success and enjoyment in his
21 retirement; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Doug Aurand.
