1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to recognize milestones in the
4 lives of its citizens; and
5 WHEREAS, Many organizations across the State of Illinois
6 have changed the face of history; one such group is the
7 League of Women Voters; and
8 WHEREAS, The League of Women Voters of Wilmette, Illinois
9 will be celebrating their 75th Anniversary this year; the
10 Annual Meeting will be held on May 27, 1999, at the home of
11 Sharon Weingarten; and
12 WHEREAS, The 75th Anniversary Celebration will be held on
13 Saturday, July 10, 1999, at the Wilmette Historical Museum;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, The League of Women Voters is dedicated to
16 promoting political responsibility; they are a strong,
17 non-partisan, grassroots, multi-issue, and activist
18 organization that has made a commitment to serve their
19 community; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we congratulate the League of Women Voters of Wilmette on
23 their 75th Anniversary Meeting and Celebration; and be it
24 further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the League of Women Voters of Wilmette, along
27 with our sincere regards.
