1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Lois Soglin on her
4 upcoming retirement from School District 65 in Evanston and
5 Skokie; and
6 WHEREAS, Lois Soglin has served 25 years in public
7 education with School District 65 in Evanston and Skokie; she
8 spent 20 years in the primary classroom, where she was known
9 for her innovation and willingness to try new ideas and
10 teaching methods; and
11 WHEREAS, Lois Soglin spent 5 years as president of the
12 local union, District Educators' Council; she is well
13 respected by all 640 members of the Council, the school
14 board, and her community; she will be honored at a retirement
15 reception on June 9, 1999; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Lois Soglin on her retirement from the field
19 of education; we wish her a pleasant future; and be it
20 further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Lois Soglin, along with our sincere regards.
