1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Chuck Taylor
6 has announced his retirement as Vice President of Illinois
7 State University; and
8 WHEREAS, He received his bachelor's degree and his
9 master's degree in business administration at Illinois State
10 University; he held various accounting/fiscal positions in
11 the Business Office, was Acting Director of Financial Aid
12 during 1973, and taught an Introductory Accounting course for
13 four semesters; and
14 WHEREAS, He was University Comptroller in 1986, Associate
15 Vice President and Comptroller in 1992, Vice President for
16 Business and Finance in 1995, and Vice President of the
17 University in 1998; and
18 WHEREAS, He has been supported throughout his public and
19 private career by his wife Alyce, his daughter Gayle, and his
20 son Jeff; and
21 WHEREAS, He has earned the respect and admiration of all;
22 therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Chuck Taylor on his retirement as Vice
26 President of Illinois State University and extend to him our
27 best wishes for the future; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to him as an expression of our esteem.
