91_HR0093 LRB9105913KBkb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Horizons Community Services will hold its 25th 3 Anniversary Human First Benefit Gala and awards presentation 4 on Saturday, March 13, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, Horizons works to enhance the lives of persons 6 with AIDS and HIV infection, victims of anti-lesbian and 7 anti-gay violence, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and 8 transgendered youth, adults, and families; and 9 WHEREAS, Horizons has contributed to the welfare of more 10 than 500,000 Chicagoans, and is marking its twenty-fifth year 11 of service to the citizens of the City of Chicago; and 12 WHEREAS, Horizons Community Services was inducted into 13 the City of Chicago's Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame on 14 November 16, 1992, recognizing its significant contributions 15 to the quality of life in the City of Chicago; and 16 WHEREAS, Horizons Community Services has done a great 17 service to the people of the City of Chicago by promoting 18 equal rights for all, regardless of race, religion, 19 ethnicity, physical ability, or sexual orientation; 20 therefore, be it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 23 we commend Horizons Community Services for their outreach and 24 caring; and we congratulate them on the occasion of their 25 twenty-fifth anniversary; and be it further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to Horizons Community Services.
