1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are pleased and honored
3 to recognize organizations that have made outstanding
4 contributions to society; and
5 WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Lisle will be celebrating
6 twenty-five years of community service on February 19, 1999;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Lisle began on February 19,
9 1974 and has grown from six to thirty-seven men and women
10 members at the present time; and
11 WHEREAS, The Club has been involved in many charitable
12 endeavors, such as donating funds to deserving local
13 institutions and service organizations, for scholarships, and
14 to the local food pantry, and meeting the needs of
15 individuals in crisis; and
16 WHEREAS, Rotarians render humanitarian service all over
17 the world and promote good will among all peoples through
18 Rotary International; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we congratulate the members of the Rotary Club of Lisle for
22 25 years of service, commend them for their sense of civic
23 responsibility and their dedicated service to the community,
24 and wish them continued success in the future; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to President James Gilfillan.
