1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Wilbert Kampwerth
4 family on being named the Clinton County Conservation Farm
5 Family of the Year; and
6 WHEREAS, Wilbert and Bernice Kampwerth and their large
7 family should be proud of this award; and
8 WHEREAS, Wilbert Kampwerth was elected to the Clinton
9 County Soil and Water Conservation District in 1962; he
10 served as chairman for 12 years, director for 12 years, and
11 associate for 4 years; he retired from the Board in 1982; and
12 WHEREAS, The Kampwerths currently farm 105.3 acres of
13 land around their home, and 445.1 acres of rented ground; and
14 WHEREAS, Wilbert Kampwerth served with the St. Cecilia's
15 Men's Sodality for several years, as well as being a member
16 of the Little Egypt Pork Producers for 20 years; Bernice
17 Kampwerth has served on the Bartelso Elementary School Board,
18 and was a member of Ladies Sodality, serving in many
19 different positions; and
20 WHEREAS, Wilbert and Bernice are active in the St.
21 Cecilia Young at Heart Club, a club for retired couples to
22 enjoy each other's company and plan events; and
23 WHEREAS, The Kampwerths are to be congratulated for this
24 honor; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate Wilbert and Bernice Kampwerth on being named
28 Clinton County Conservation Farm Family of the Year; we wish
29 them and their family continued success in the future; and be
30 it further
