1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Governor has requested a report from the
3 Illinois State Toll Highway Authority dealing with structural
4 and financial issues; and
5 WHEREAS, Implementation of the report may require
6 legislative action; and
7 WHEREAS, The General Assembly is interested in the
8 substance of the report; and
9 WHEREAS, This report is to be presented to the Governor
10 in December 1999; therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
13 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the General Assembly shall
14 create a committee to review the Illinois State Toll Highway
15 Authority's report; and be it further
16 RESOLVED, That the Committee shall be composed of 10
17 members, 3 each appointed by Speaker of the House and the
18 President of the Senate and 2 each appointed by the minority
19 leaders of the House and the Senate; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That this Committee shall have the same powers
21 as a regular committee of the House or Senate; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority
24 is directed to cooperate with the Committee; and be it
25 further
26 RESOLVED, That this Committee shall be directed to report
27 to the General Assembly no later than April 4, 2000 regarding
28 its findings and conclusions on implementing or modifying the
29 Toll Highway Authority's recommendations to the Governor.
