1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much of that
5 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Governor
6 for making grants to counties affected by a lawsuit
7 contesting State sovereignty and county jurisdiction over
8 land based on an alleged defect in federal land patents, as
9 provided in Section 5-1049.3 of the Counties Code.
10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11 becoming law.
