1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $1,500,000, or so much of that
5 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated for State fiscal
6 year 2000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Water
7 Survey Division of the Department of Natural Resources for
8 conducting a comprehensive survey of the presence of methyl
9 tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) in the groundwater of this State.
10 Section 10. The sum of $1,500,000, or so much of that
11 amount as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the
12 close of business on June 30, 2000 from the appropriation
13 made in Section 5, is reappropriated for State fiscal year
14 2001 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Water Survey
15 Division of the Department of Natural Resources for
16 conducting a comprehensive survey of the presence of methyl
17 tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) in the groundwater of this State.
18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19 becoming law.
