The amount of $100,000, or so much thereof as 28 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Title III Social 29 Security and Employment Service Fund to the Department of 30 Employment Security for expenses related to the development 31 of training programs. 32 Section 5. The amount of $3,500,000, or so much thereof -5- BOB-DES01 1 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Title III 2 Social Security and Employment Service Fund to the Department 3 of Employment Security for expenses related to Employment 4 Security automation. 5 Section 6. The amount of $220,000,000, or so much 6 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the 7 Department of Employment Security from the Title III Social 8 Security and Employment Service Fund for grants for Federal 9 Workforce Development Programs including Job Training 10 Partnership Act and Workforce Investment Act. 11 Section 7. The amount of $84,000,000, or so much thereof 12 as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of 13 Employment Security from the Title III Social Security and 14 Employment Service Fund for administration and grant expenses 15 of the Welfare to Work Grant Programs, or other job training, 16 education, or employment programs. 17 Section 8. The amount of $8,000,000, or so much thereof 18 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Title III 19 Social Security and Employment Service Fund to the Department 20 of Employment Security for expenses related to a Benefit 21 Information System Redefinition. 22 Section 9. The amount of $2,000,000, or so much thereof 23 as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of 24 Employment Security from the Unemployment Compensation 25 Special Administration Fund for expenses related to Legal 26 Assistance as required by law. 27 Section 10. The amount of $10,000,000, or so much 28 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the 29 Department of Employment Security from the Unemployment -6- BOB-DES01 1 Compensation Special Administration Fund for deposit into the 2 Title III Social Security and Employment Service Fund. 3 Section 11. The sum of $2,450,000, or so much thereof as 4 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 5 business on June 30, 1999, from appropriations and 6 reappropriations heretofore made for such purposes in Article 7 10, Sections 2f and 2h of Public Act 91-22, is reappropriated 8 to the Department of Employment Security from the Employment 9 Security Administration Fund for the purposes authorized by 10 Public Act 87-1178. 11 Section 12. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as 12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Unemployment 13 Compensation Special Administration Fund to the Department of 14 Employment Security for Interest on Refunds of Erroneously 15 Paid Contributions, Penalties and Interest. 16 Section 13. The sum of $8,400,000, or so much thereof as 17 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 18 Fund to the Department of Employment Security, Trust Fund 19 Unit, for unemployment compensation benefits to Former State 20 Employees. 21 Section 14. The following named amounts, or so much 22 thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated to the 23 Department of Employment Security, Trust Fund Unit, for 24 unemployment compensation benefits, other than benefits 25 provided for in Section 3, to Former State Employees as 26 follows: 27 Payable from the Road Fund: 28 For benefits paid on the basis of wages 29 paid for insured work for the Department 30 of Transportation........................... $ 2,000,000 -7- BOB-DES01 1 Payable from the Illinois Mathematics 2 and Science Academy Income Fund .............. 17,600 3 Payable from Title III Social Security 4 and Employment Service Fund .................. 1,734,300 5 Total $3,751,900 6 Section 15. The amount of $526,400, or so much thereof 17 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 18 Fund to the Department of Employment Security for the purpose 19 of making grants to community non-profit agencies or 20 organizations for the operation of a statewide network of 21 outreach services for veterans, as provided for in the 22 Vietnam Veterans' Act. 23 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 24 July 1, 2000.
