1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by adding Section 2310-600.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 2310-600 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2310/2310-600 new)
8 Sec. 2310-600. Free medical clinic grants. From funds
9 appropriated from the Tobacco Settlement Recovery Fund, the
10 Department of Public Health shall make grants to free medical
11 clinics as defined in Section 30 of the Good Samaritan Act
12 for purposes of funding health care services. Sixty percent
13 of any appropriation shall be disbursed to all eligible
14 applicants. Forty percent of any appropriation shall be
15 disbursed to eligible applicants based upon specific criteria
16 prescribed by the Department. The Department of Public
17 Health shall adopt rules to implement this Section.
