91_HB4214 LRB9111202DJcd 1 AN ACT concerning public aid. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by 5 changing Section 4-1.1 as follows: 6 (305 ILCS 5/4-1.1) (from Ch. 23, par. 4-1.1) 7 Sec. 4-1.1. Child age eligibility. 8 (a) Every assistance unit must include a child, except 9 as provided in subsections (b) and (c). The child or 10 children must havealreadybeen born already and be under age 11 18, or, if age 18, must be a full-time student in a secondary 12 school or the equivalent level of vocational or technical 13 training. 14 (b) Grants shall be provided for assistance units 15 consisting exclusively of a pregnant woman with no dependent 16 child, and may include her husband if living with her, if the 17 pregnancy has been determined by medical diagnosis, to the 18 extent that federal law permits and federal matching funds 19 are available. 20 (c) Grants may be provided for assistance units 21 consisting of only adults if all the children living with 22 those adults are disabled and receive Supplemental Security 23 Income. 24 (Source: P.A. 90-14, eff. 7-1-97; 90-17, eff. 7-1-97.)
