 1        AN ACT to amend the Workers' Compensation Act by changing
 2    Section 19.1.

 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 5.  The Workers' Compensation Act is  amended  by
 6    changing Section 19.1 as follows:

 7        (820 ILCS 305/19.1) (from Ch. 48, par. 138.19a)
 8        Sec.  19.1.  The time within which any act is required to
 9    be performed under any of the provisions of this Act shall be
10    computed by excluding the first day and including  the  last,
11    unless  the  last  day is Saturday, Sunday or is a holiday as
12    defined or fixed in any statute now or hereafter in force  in
13    this State, and then such days shall also be excluded. If the
14    day  succeeding  such  holiday  is  also  a holiday then such
15    succeeding day shall also be excluded.
