1 AN ACT concerning interscholastic organizations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act
5 is amended by changing the title of the Act and Section 0.01
6 and adding Section 5 as follows:

12 Sec. 0.01. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
13 Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act.

16 Sec. 5. Home-schooled student participation. An
17 association or other entity that has as one of its purposes
18 promoting, sponsoring, regulating or in any manner providing
19 for interscholastic activities or any form of competition
20 among schools and students within this State may not adopt or
21 maintain in effect a bylaw, rule, regulation, or policy that
22 prevents a student of a home school that satisfies the
23 requirements of subdivision 1 of Section 26-1 of the School
24 Code from participating in an interscholastic activity. This
25 Section shall not in any way prevent a school district from
26 prohibiting a home-schooled student from participating in a
27 school sponsored activity.
28 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
