1 AN ACT to increase uniformity within the Illinois Pension
2 Code.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
6 Pension Uniformity Act.
7 Section 5. Purpose. It is the purpose of this Act to
8 increase the uniformity of the provisions governing the
9 State-funded retirement systems. It is not the intention of
10 this Act to impair any of the benefits to which current
11 members are entitled.
12 Section 90. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by
13 adding Section 1-120 as follows:
14 (40 ILCS 5/1-120 new)
15 Sec. 1-120. Uniformity of provisions. It is the
16 intention of this amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly
17 to increase the uniformity of the provisions governing the
18 State-funded retirement systems. It is not the intention of
19 this Act to impair any of the benefits to which current
20 members are entitled.
21 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
22 becoming law.
