1 AN ACT concerning higher education, amending named Acts.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5 adding Section 20 as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 305/20 new)
7 Sec. 20. Meningitis vaccine; information. Any
8 University facility that delivers health services to
9 University students must offer meningitis vaccines and must
10 keep the vaccine in stock. At the beginning of each academic
11 year, the University shall inform each of its students and
12 the student's parents or guardian about meningitis, its
13 transmission, and the number of meningitis cases reported at
14 the University in the previous academic year.
15 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
16 Act is amended by adding Section 10 as follows:
17 (110 ILCS 520/10 new)
18 Sec. 10. Meningitis vaccine; information. Any
19 University facility that delivers health services to
20 University students must offer meningitis vaccines and must
21 keep the vaccine in stock. At the beginning of each academic
22 year, the University shall inform each of its students and
23 the student's parents or guardian about meningitis, its
24 transmission, and the number of meningitis cases reported at
25 the University in the previous academic year.
26 Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended
27 by adding Section 5-115 as follows:

18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
19 July 1, 2000.
