91_HB2653 LRB9102425WHdv 1 AN ACT to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act by 2 changing Section 241. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by 6 changing Section 241 as follows: 7 (820 ILCS 405/241) (from Ch. 48, par. 351) 8 Sec. 241. BeforePrior toSeptember 27, 1959, "week" 9 means such period of seven consecutive days as the Director 10 may by regulation prescribe. On and after September 27, 1959, 11 "week" means 12 A. Calendar week, or 13 B. Any seven consecutive day period with respect to 14 which no wages are payable to an individual and during which 15 he performs no services, which occurs within two calendar 16 weeks in each of which he is not unemployed; or 17 C. Any seven consecutive day period which ends after 18 September 26, 1959, and before October 3, 1959. 19 The Director may by regulation prescribe that a week 20 shall be deemed to be "in," "within," or "during" any benefit 21 year which includes the greater part of such week. 22 (Source: Laws 1959, p. 2169.)
