1 AN ACT to amend the Cemetery Care Act by changing Section
2 6.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Cemetery Care Act is amended by changing
6 Section 6 as follows:
7 (760 ILCS 100/6) (from Ch. 21, par. 64.6)
8 Sec. 6. Exemption of trust funds from taxation. The
9 trust funds authorized by Section 3 of this Act, and the
10 income therefrom, and any funds received under a contract to
11 furnish care of a burial space for a definite number of
12 years, shall be held for the general benefit of the lot
13 owners and are exempt from taxation. The trust funds
14 authorized by the provisions of Section 3 of this Act, and
15 the income therefrom, are exempt from the operation of all
16 laws of mortmain and the laws against perpetuities and
17 accumulations.
