1 AN ACT to amend the Secretary of State Act by changing
2 Section 2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Secretary of State Act is amended by
6 changing Section 2 as follows:
7 (15 ILCS 305/2) (from Ch. 124, par. 2)
8 Sec. 2. Oath. The Secretary of State shall, before
9 entering upon the duties of his office, take and subscribe
10 the oath or affirmation prescribed by Article XIII, Section 3
11 of the Constitution, which shall be filed in his or her
12 office.
