1 AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act by
2 changing Section 3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is
6 amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 3605/3) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 303)
8 Sec. 3. Chicago Transit Authority. All the territory in
9 the County of Cook, State of Illinois, lying east of the east
10 line of Range Eleven, East of the Third Principal Meridian of
11 the United States Government Survey is hereby created a unit
12 of local government, political subdivision, body politic, and
13 municipal corporation under the name of Chicago Transit
14 Authority.

16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
