1 AN ACT to amend the Board of Higher Education Act by
2 adding Section 9.29.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Board of Higher Education Act is amended
6 by adding Section 9.29 as follows:
7 (110 ILCS 205/9.29 new)
8 Sec. 9.29. Noninstructional fee referendum. The Board
9 may recommend to a public university that the university hold
10 a referendum on whether to charge a new noninstructional fee
11 each time the university decides to charge a new
12 noninstructional fee.
