1 AN ACT to amend the Property Tax Code by adding Section
2 20-12.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by adding
6 Section 20-12 as follows:
7 (35 ILCS 200/20-12 new)
8 Sec. 12. Duplicate copies of tax bills. The collector,
9 upon approval by the county board, shall assess a fee of up
10 to $5 for each duplicate tax bill provided to any person. All
11 amounts collected under this Section shall be deposited into
12 the Tax Sale Automation Fund established in Section 21-245 of
13 this Code.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15 becoming law.
