1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Act on the Aging by changing
2 Section 4.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
6 changing Section 4 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 105/4) (from Ch. 23, par. 6104)
8 Sec. 4. Department created. There is created the
9 Department on Aging. The Director of the Department on Aging,
10 in conjunction with the Director of the Department of Public
11 Aid shall prepare and implement a plan to transfer all
12 personnel, materials, books, records, appropriations and
13 equipment related to "Services to Older People" in the
14 Department of Public Aid as described in Article VIII of,
15 "The Illinois Public Aid Code", to the Department on Aging by
16 the effective date of this Act. The Department on Aging shall
17 administer programs related to "Services to Older People",
18 described in Article VIII of, "The Illinois Public Aid Code",
19 on the effective date of this Act.
20 Upon the effective date of this Act, The Department on
21 Aging is shall be the single State agency for receiving and
22 disbursing federal funds made available under the "Older
23 Americans Act".
