1 AN ACT regarding emergency home response systems.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5 adding Section 8.07 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 105/8.07 new)
7 Sec. 8.07. Emergency home response system. Upon initial
8 determination or any re-determination for eligibility for any
9 services provided by the Department on Aging, the Department
10 shall make a determination of need as to whether the
11 applicant or recipient of services is in need of an emergency
12 home response system.
13 Section 10. The Department of Human Services Act is
14 amended by adding Section 1-30 as follows:
15 (20 ILCS 1305/1-30 new)
16 Sec. 1-30. Emergency home response system. Upon initial
17 determination or any re-determination for eligibility for any
18 services provided by the Department of Human Services, the
19 Department shall make a determination of need as to whether
20 the applicant or recipient of services is in need of an
21 emergency home response system.
