1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Department of Natural
2 Resources to provide a matching grant to the Chicago Park
3 District.
4 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
5 represented in the General Assembly:
6 Section 5. The sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of
8 Natural Resources to provide a 50% matching grant to the
9 Chicago Park District for the first year of necessary
10 dredging and reclamation of lagoons and ponds at any location
11 deemed essential by the Park District to include the
12 following City of Chicago parks: Auburn, Columbus, Douglas,
13 Garfield, Gompers, Humboldt, Indian Boundary, Jackson,
14 Lincoln, Marquette, McKinley, Riis, Sherman, and Washington.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
16 1, 1999.
