91_HB1408eng HB1408 Engrossed LRB9104047KSpc 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Vehicle Code by adding 2 Section 5-104.4. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by 6 adding Section 5-104.4 as follows: 7 (625 ILCS 5/5-104.4 new) 8 Sec. 5-104.4. Window tint warning. No person shall sell 9 a new or used motor vehicle that has any sign, poster, window 10 application, reflective material, nonreflective material, or 11 tinted film upon the front windshield, sidewings, or side 12 windows immediately adjacent to each side of the driver's 13 seat without first disclosing to the purchaser that driving 14 the motor vehicle upon the highways of this State could be in 15 violation of Section 12-503 of this Code, unless the only 16 cause for disclosure is a nonreflective tint used along the 17 uppermost portion of the windshield if the tint does not 18 extend more than 6 inches down from the top of the 19 windshield.
