91_HB1294eng HB1294 Engrossed LRB9103033ACtmA 1 AN ACT to amend the Clinical Social Work and Social Work 2 Practice Act by adding Section 19.5. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Clinical Social Work and Social Work 6 Practice Act is amended by adding Section 19.5 as follows: 7 (225 ILCS 20/19.5 new) 8 Sec. 19.5. Expungement of record. Any licensee who has 9 been disciplined by the Department with a reprimand or fine 10 shall be able to file a petition with the Department to 11 expunge the disciplinary action from his or her record. In no 12 case shall the petition to expunge be filed prior to 5 years 13 after the issuance of the disciplinary order. The Department 14 shall review the original order and shall consider only 15 petitions involving reprimands. The Department shall 16 promulgate rules for the administration of this amendatory 17 Act of the 91st General Assembly. 18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 19 becoming law.
