1 AN ACT to amend the Child Care Act of 1969 by changing
2 Section 8.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
6 changing Section 8.2 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 10/8.2) (from Ch. 23, par. 2218.2)
8 Sec. 8.2. Conditional license. The Department may issue
9 a conditional license to any child care facility which
10 currently is licensed under this Act. The conditional
11 license shall be a nonrenewable license for a period of 6
12 months and the Department shall revoke any other license held
13 by the conditionally licensed facility. Conditional licenses
14 shall only be granted to facilities where no threat to the
15 health, safety, morals or welfare of the children served
16 exists. A complete listing of deficiencies and a corrective
17 plan approved by the Department shall be in existence at the
18 time a conditional license is issued. Failure by the
19 facility to correct the deficiencies or meet all licensing
20 standards at the end of the conditional license period shall
21 result in immediate revocation of or refusal to renew the
22 facility's license as provided in Section 8.1 of this Act.
