1 AN ACT to amend the Counties Code by changing Section
2 6-2011.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing
6 Section 6-2011 as follows:
7 (55 ILCS 5/6-2011) (from Ch. 34, par. 6-2011)
8 Sec. 6-2011. Issuance of notes in excess of amount
9 permitted; penalty. Any official of the County who votes for
10 or otherwise influences the issuance of notes under this
11 Division in excess of the limitations set by this Division is
12 herein provided shall be liable for twice the sum of the
13 such excessive notes to the County and is shall be ineligible
14 for his or her office and be subject to removal from office.
