Amend House Bill 1149 on page 2, by 3 replacing lines 11 through 17 with the following: 4 "With respect to the calendar years 1988 through 1999 and 5 calendar year 2001 and each calendar year thereafter, the 6 term "wages" includesshall includeonly the remuneration 7 paid to an individual by an employer during that period with 8 respect to employment which does not exceed $9,000. 9 With respect to the calendar year 2000, the term"; and 10 on page 8, by replacing lines 6 through 19 with the 11 following: 12 "the benefit periods of calendar years 1992 through 1999 and 13 calendar year 2001 and each calendar year thereafter, the 14 statewide average weekly wage, isshall bethe statewide 15 average weekly wage, as determined in accordance with this 16 sentence, for the immediately preceding benefit period plus 17 (or minus) an amount equal to the percentage change in the 18 statewide average weekly wage, as computed in accordance with 19 the preceding sentences of this paragraph, between the 2 20 immediately preceding benefit periods, multiplied by the 21 statewide average weekly wage, as determined in accordance 22 with this sentence, for the immediately preceding benefit 23 period.
