91_HB1134ccr001 LRB9101564NTksccr 1 91ST GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2 CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT 3 ON HOUSE BILL 1134 4 ------------------------------------------------------------- 5 ------------------------------------------------------------- 6 To the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the 7 House of Representatives: 8 We, the conference committee appointed to consider the 9 differences between the houses in relation to Senate 10 Amendment No. 1 to House Bill 1134, recommend the following: 11 (1) that the House concur in Senate Amendment No. 1; and 12 (2) that House Bill 1134, AS AMENDED, be further amended 13 in Section 5, Sec. 18-8.05, subsec. (G), immediately below 14 paragraph (4), by inserting the following: 15 "(5) For school districts having a majority of their 16 equalized assessed valuation in any county except Cook, 17 DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, or Will, if the amount of 18 general State aid allocated to the school district for the 19 1999-2000 school year under the provisions of subsection (E), 20 (H), and (J) of this Section is less than the amount of 21 general State aid allocated to the district for the 1998-1999 22 school year under these subsections, then the general State 23 aid of the district for the 1999-2000 school year only shall 24 be increased by the difference between these amounts. The 25 total payments made under this paragraph (5) shall not exceed 26 $14,000,000. Claims shall be prorated if they exceed 27 $14,000,000.". 28 Submitted on May 27, 1999 29 s/Sen.
