Amend House Bill 1064, by deleting 3 everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu 4 thereof the following: 5 "Sec. 5. The amount of $29,175,000 or so much of that 6 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General 7 Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System of the State 8 of Illinois for transfer into the Teachers' Health Insurance 9 Security Fund as the State's contribution for teachers' 10 health benefits. 11 Sec. 10. The following amounts, or so much thereof as 12 may be necessary, are appropriated to the Teachers' 13 Retirement System of the State of Illinois for the State's 14 contribution, as provided by law: 15 Payable from the General Revenue Fund ......... $52,412,400 16 Payable from the Common School Fund ........... $526,026,600 17 Total, this Section ....................... $578,439,000 18 Sec. 15. The sum of $55,600,000, minus the amount 19 transferred to the Teachers' Retirement System of the State 20 of Illinois pursuant to the continuing appropriation -2- HDS91HB1064CEa100mm 1 authorized by the State Pensions Fund Continuing 2 Appropriations Act, is appropriated from the State Pensions 3 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' Retirement 4 System of the State of Illinois pursuant to the provisions of 5 Section 8.12 of the State Finance Act. 6 Sec. 20. The following named amounts, or so much thereof 7 as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated from the 8 General Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System of 9 the State of Illinois for the objects and purposes 10 hereinafter named: 11 For supplemental benefits pursuant to 12 Sections 16-135 and 16-149.4 of the Pension 13 Code ........................................ $35,000 14 For additional costs due to the establishment 15 of minimum benefits under Sections 16-136.2 16 and 136.3 of the Pension Code ............... $6,000,000 17 Total, this Section ....................... $6,035,000 18 Sec. 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect July 1, 19 1999.".
